Both. While at the store I use a desktop. At home or while traveling I use a laptop.

PC

What’s your favorite gadget and why?
I love my Sprint Treo 700W. I can download movies, watch TV shows, check my email, use the internet and stay in touch with everyone.

What do you use your computer for most?
My business requires me to price items for resale. The internet is great for checking actual selling prices to know what something is worth. I can research both auction sites and antique dealers to know what sells and how much I can get for an item.

Do you watch TV & Movies on TV or your computer?
Both! Some of my favorite movies are still on VHS and I watch them on TV. Most hotels don’t have DVD players and I use my laptop while traveling.

How has tech most affected your life?

Technology has affected everyone’s life, even if they don’t realize it. I remember the first computer my parent’s bought me. I was in elementary school and it had only four colors. I learned how to type and played games on it. My first computer with internet was purchased for me when I went off to college in 1998. It was amazing! I was homeschooled and the internet opened up a whole new world for me. I did research for papers, kept in touch with my friend’s back home and did common thing such as check the weather.

When I moved to PA shortly after getting engaged I chose my first cell phone. My father had a car phone when I was young but this was amazing! I could stay in touch with my family & friends while shopping! I could pay bills over the phone whenever I thought about it (which was last minute usually!).

One of the first gift’s my husband & I gave ourselves after marrying was a desktop and a digital camera. I had lost quite a bit of weight. eBay had just come onto the internet scene and I sold most of my clothing for a profit. I started looking for more to sell. I sold my school books, items we had received for our wedding that we never used and other people’s items. I was making quite a profit and decided to sell full time in 2006.

Since then I have opened a consignment shop for women’s & children’s clothing. People bring me items to sell and I then re-sell them, in the store and on my website. I am doing what I love-all because of technology!
