DVD – Digital Versatile Disk

The term DVD started out meaning Digital Video Disk but changed when companies realized that it can do a lot more so they made it ‘versatile’.

A DVD is the same physical size as a CD but can store a lot more data, up to 9.4 gigabytes.

DVDs are a common storage format for Movies. A DVD needs a special DVD player to read the disk.
