In less than two weeks there will be a modern day land rush for a new TLD (Top Level Domain). The .Tel domain will open to the public and a new round of domain wars will begin.

Tuesday, February 3rd at 3pm GMT is the time you can get your  very own .tel domain. However Trademark Owners can apply before then.

Billed to be the next revolution  in TLD’s the .tel promises to create a new breed of sites and names.

Potentialy this can set aside telecomunications companies, directories and other online resources.  Of course there will be the usual domains like in.tel, al.tel, ho.tel, mo.tel, etc.

What do you think of the .tel? think it’ll take off? what would you register?
