What powers the biggest blogs?
The ever insightful Brian Solis put up a post a little while ago about what software powers the biggest blogs on the web.
The very popular WordPress platform runs the TechBurgh.com blog (hosted with Tubu Internet Solutions). It’s interesting to see what the other blogs out there use.
Pingdom released a study that shows that WordPress is the choice of self hosted bloggers all over the World (top 100 blogs) followed by TypePad then BlogSmith.
WordPress is evidently a very popular, very strong platform, I was kind of surprised to see who is using Blogger and WordPress.com to power their blogs.
It goes to prove that you don’t need a hosted blog to be popular (but it sure helps
