VIPRE Antivirus and Antispyware. Less hoggish, just as good
The problem with a lot of Antivirus and Antispyware software is that it tends to be cumbersome and bloated.
By it’s very nature Antivirus Software and the like have to start up with your operating system. You have to wait for the applications to initialize before you can do anything on your computer and it’s always sitting there in the background, scanning and hogging precious resources.
I came across a nice little Antivirus and Antispyware suite that isn’t nearly as resource intensive as the other big names out there and does just as good a job.
VIPRE Antivirus and Antispyware has a big selling point in that their software is high performance yet has a low impact on your system resources.
The software (of course) scans your system in real time, detecting malware, viruses, and more – even in your email.
They have smaller, regular virus definition files so that you don’t have to spend forever waiting for a download.
