When using Google Maps on your smart phone you can tap a box and hope that the Google Maps Application finds your current location to display it.

Well, the ‘find me’ blue dot has made an appearance on Google Maps on your Desktop computer.

At http://maps.google.com , above your little Orange Streetview man and below your navigator thing you’ll see a small box with a circle in it. Give it a click.

As if by magic Google Maps will try its best to get as close to where your computer is as is can.

When I clicked on mine I got a rather broad view of the Pittsburgh region pretty well centered on Bethel Park (which is where Comcast comes out of).

It worked ok. I guess.
