Finally! Import email accounts into Gmail!

Finally! Import email accounts into Gmail!

For Gmail (and Google) evangelists like myself it’s hard to get some ‘old school’ mail users to change over to Gmail because much of the time it would be a fresh start for them.

Well, Google has opened up their account import feature (powered by TrueSwitch).

Now, you can let go of your Hotmail or AOL mail (Mike) and catch up with the rest of the World in embracing the wonder that is Gmail with a minimum of effort :-p

It’s easy, just click your Gmail account settings and click ‘Accounts and Import’. Fill in your old email address and password and Gmail takes care of the rest for you.

Gmail will import your old contacts, your old mail and add it to it’s own Gmail label.

It even brings over the mail for the next 30 days.
