What a great combination! Google’s Picasa Web Albums and Google Street view.

Google has started adding user generated content into Google Streetview.

Pictures taken by users and geotagged through Picasa Web albums are now shown in Streetview, on the Streetview level.

image Right now, Google is applying image matching so that only the most relevant pictures are showing up.

Your Albums have to be marked as public (as opposed to unlisted) and Google does apply face detection so that there are no identifiable persons.

Take a look at Downtown Pittsburgh to see some of the excellent user submitted pictures of PPG Plaza, Market Square, Station Square and more.
