This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of eSmart Tax. All opinions are 100% mine.

Here’s a weird one. It’s clever though and I wish that eSmartTax.com would have put some of it’s ad budget into spreading the word on TV and such because I think they would gain a lot of press attention with this one.

It’s tax time and all of the tax services, both online and offline are wanting to take care of your taxes for you eSmartTax.com wants to give their service away though… if your last name is Johnson. That’s right, if your last name is Johnson you can file for free! (a $9.95 value).

It’s an interesting PR move, that’s for sure. Apparently there are more than 2.1 Million Johnsons in the US. Johnson is the second most popular last name in the country and it happens to be the last name of eSmart’s new spokesperson (coincidence?). I knew a Johnson once… at high school. I don’t think I know any right now though.

Filing your taxes, for some reason, is terribly stressful. Online filing and tax filing software have made filing taxes a whole lot easier for businesses and individuals.
You might not think that eSmartTax is a name you know, however I can almost guarantee that you do. You’ve likely seen someone dressed as The Statue Of Liberty at your local mall or main street, touting the Liberty Tax Service services… well this is them!
Liberty Tax Service has quietly become a staple in most towns this time of year. In fact a few years ago I used them to take care of my taxes for me.

eSmartTax.com is completely online based, there is no software to download. If you do your taxes online, like many people do, it’s worth checking out. You can start filing for free to see if it works for you.

Checkout eSmartTax.com and don’t forget – Johnsons file free.
