EmFinders has made finding your lost loved ones a easy 2 step process to activate the device. First off, the family/caregiver needs to call 911 to report the wearer missing and to obtain a police report number. Next the family or caregiver calls EmFinders and provides the police report number and information of the missing individual. EmFinders then activates the EmSeeQ which calls 911 and reaches the nearest 911 center. A recorded message is played and repeated multiple times for up to 25 minutes. This time may be increased with a second signal. The 911 center recieves information via phase-II wireless technology to convert the signal to a approximate GPS location. This GPS information can then be relayed to the proper authorities ( Police, Fire, EMS, Search and Rescue,) to help send them to the location in which the device is broadcasting from. The 911 center can continually update the location of the EmSeeQ in the event that the person they are looking for is walking from place to place or traveling in a vehicle.
In the event of an emergency the call center is staffed 24/7 with trained call takers, so you always have a human to talk to and help you in activating the device.
As you can see above the device is about the size of a watch. The version here is removable and rechargeable. The device only takes about 2 hours to charge per week for continuous use. All devices are automatically upgraded over the air. The EmSeeq has audible alerts for low battery operation so you never have to worry about the state of the battery charge.. Also to keep your mind at ease about whether the EmSeeQ is functioning properly or not EmFinders does a weekly remote check of the device making sure it is at peak performance at all times.
How the device works:
Using this method of location can work better than GPS locators if the person wearing the device happens to be in a building or under cover where a GPS signal can not reach. EmFinders uses ATT network so anywhere ATT has a signal the EmSeeQ will work. (Your results may vary depending on the strength of signal in the area).
