Sorry, this isn’t breaking news. I happened to catch this on KDKA this morning and thought I’d share
as I’m a regular Giant Eagle Shopper and gas filler.
Giant Eagle finally got onto the Mobile Application band wagon. I’ve been suggesting this to them for quite some time.
Just download and register/sign in to the app. It’s a quick, intuitive interface that offers you a number of options….
eOffers – letting you virtually clip your coupons (from Giant Eagle’s select coupons) and add them right to your Giant Eagle Card.
Shopping List – umm yeah a shopping list 🙂 actually, when you look through the recipes you can add all of the recipe ingredients right to shopping list.
Card – scan your Giant Eagle Advantage Card right from your phone.
Recipes – look through Giant Eagle’s tasty recipes and add the ingredients right to your shopping list.
Menu Planner – plan your meals for the week. Add recipes or your own meals and know what you’ve got going on for the week.
Store Locator – of course, there’s a store locator.
The app shows, right ion the home screen, your available fuelperks and foodperks too.
There’s not a lot of press coverage out there about the app – you can’t find anything about it from Giant Eagle’s web site. I’d be hyping it up like crazy!
Giant Eagle needs to be truly groundbreaking and add a bar code/coupon scanner to the app to let coupon clippers scan coupons from newspapers etc. and add them to their Giant Eagle card – take the coupon clipping to the next level.
Other than that it’s a handy app.
