  • Orchid and Tropical Bonsai Show — Jan. 17 – March 1 — Delight in two of nature’s most beautiful art forms as Phipps highlights unique specimens from its permanent collections.
  • Party in the Tropics —Feb. 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, Sept. 4, Oct. 2 and Nov. 6 — Dine, drink and dance the night away in Phipps’ Tropical ForestAges 21+.
  • Tropical Forest Congo Opens— Feb. 7 — Journey to one of the lushest landscapes on the planet as Phipps showcases some of Africa’s most unique plants, animals and cultures.
  • Young Professionals Happy Hours— Feb. 19, April 19 and July 15 — Join Phipps and PUMP for specialty cocktails, beer and wine, inspired bites and dynamic special guests in the gardens. Registration required.
  • Spring Flower Show — March 14 – April 12 — Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other blooms are the stars of Spring Flower Show, a celebration of sweet scents and colorful sights.
  • Tropical Forest Congo Grand Opening Gala— April 23 — Celebrate the grand opening of Phipps’ new Tropical Forest Conservatory exhibit with food, live entertainment and more. Registration required.
  • Butterfly Forest — April 25 – Sept. 7 — Watch as gorgeous butterflies emerge from their chrysalises to flutter among cheerful tropical blooms and enchant nature lovers of every age.
  • May Market — May 8 and 9 — Browse a wide selection of garden plants, including organic herbs and vegetable seedlings, Pennsylvania native perennials and much more.
  •        Summer Flower Show — May 2 – Oct. 4 — All aboard! Watch as model trains chug through living landscapes and spectacular displays of lush foliage and vibrant blooms.
  • Farmers at Phipps — June 3 – Oct. 28 — Shop for local, organic and Certified Naturally Grown produce every Wednesday between 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Phipps’ front lawn.
  • Red, Ripe and Roasted — Aug. 30 — Delicious food and family fun abound at Phipps’ annual tomato and garlic festival. Benefits the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
  • Fall Flower Show — Oct. 19 – Nov. 8 — Thousands of chrysanthemums in shades of yellow, orange, purple and green combine to create festive scenes for Fall Flower Show.
  • Winter Flower Showand Light Garden — Nov. 27 – Jan. 10 — Evergreens, glowing glass and festive blooms are displayed for this show, while outdoor gardens are transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland.

Phipps is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 10 p.m. on Fridays. Hours are extended during Winter Flower Show and Light Garden. Admission costs $15 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $11 for children (ages 2 – 18). Members and kids under 2 enter free.
