Though not necessarily a technical term these three letters are used all over the Internet, in email, IMing, txting, on Twitter and everywhere else that users are lazy enough to use three letters instead of 9 (and two spaces).
FTW generally means (amongst other things that I won’t write on here), For The Win.
Normally used in reference to somebody’s favorite something or something outranking something else.
i.e “TechBurgh ftw!”
