Speek is a Free web-based teleconferencing system that dials cell phones, landlines, and VOIP applications (i.e Skype, Google Talk etc).
Through Speek (and the CommuniClique) conference Calling system you can host your own conference calls without much trouble at all.
Of course, the site is very basic right now but the functionality is there and it’s good to play with. You can get right on in there and set up a conference call and talk between your fiends (conveniently added from your imported contact list).
Like any good conference calling software you can schedule calls, make your call right away, add agenda items, documents and actions.
You can also share links to your conference calls to invite your friends, coworkers or whoever you’re planning on talking to to the call. Of course there is the option to make the teleconference public or private.
I don’t know, and there is no word on how Speek is planning on making any revenue from their platform. There’s no ads and nowhere to pay for anything right now. Of course, being private Beta, I don’t expect there to be but it’ll be interesting to see how they develop as they get more and more feedback from users like you 🙂
