Here’s an example of how to best use Social Media and more specifically Twitter that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
This, this is how businesses should be using Twitter, not standing on a pedestal talking at the World but listening, interacting and helping.

Out of the WhatsNextBlog comes a heartwarming tale of Social Media gone completely right.

B&JTweets.pngAfter BL Ochman (@whatsnext) tweeted about ordering a large amount of ice cream (note – not specifically Ben and Jerrys) to help her recovery after her oral surgery, the nice people at Ben and Jerrys reached out and ended up sending her some ice cream coupons with a nice little note to aide her recovery.


There is positive PR in free stuff. Of course there’s positive PR in simply doing good too. There are nearly 50 tweets about what Ben and Jerrys did for BL and I’m sure that more bloggers than I picked up on the story too.

Excellent work Ben and Jerry – you’re good people – some might say you’re “cool”. Smile
