BACKGROUND: As part of its annual ‘Tools for School’ campaign, Verizon employees in the US and around the globe are working together to ensure that students in need have the supplies they need to succeed in school. This year, employees at nearly 200 Verizon locations are donating items to give to their local schools. In addition, through a partnership with World Vision, employees in Pennsylvania are assembling “Promise Packs” filled with school supplies, basic hygiene items, and personal notes of encouragement that will be donated to underserved children.
