Today Strava introduces new perks for Strava Premium members including exclusive industry savings and free cover for cyclists and runners worth $200.

A new portal at strava.com/premium/perks will house benefits aimed at athletes with new perks added regularly. Premium members will be able to receive discounts from brands such as Wiggle, Science in Sport and New Balance.

In addition, Sunday’s Insurance will be available to all Premium members in the US, UK, and Australia which provides free smartphone and GPS device accidental damage coverage (for devices used while recording Strava activities), taxi reimbursement for mechanical breakdowns, running race entry reimbursement (in case you get injured) and further discounts on bike, travel, life and health insurance.

“We know that Premium members join to get the most out of their sport and the most out of Strava,” says David Lorsch, VP Strategy & Business Development at Strava, “which is why we’re committed to continually developing new features as well as introducing these new perks for athletes. Premium is our all-out effort to keep athletes safe, improve their performance, and to make every activity as enjoyable as possible; we’ve carefully selected partners and providers who share this same ethos.”

The new perks mean that Strava Premium is an even more complete package for athletes of all abilities to make the most of their sport. Athletes can upgrade to Premium for access to features such as workout analysis, race analysis, custom goals, training plans, Live Segments, live performance data and heart rate analysis. Premium athletes can also access one of Strava’s newest features, Beacon, which allows athletes to share their real-time location with select safety contacts, offering peace of mind for them as well as their friends and family.

Strava Premium is $7.99 per month or $59.99 annually.

Download Strava for iOS or Android and upgrade to Strava Premium to access advanced features. To learn more about Strava, visit www.strava.com.
