If you’re the long-term owner of a PS4 or PS4 Pro or are getting one this year, there are so many amazing games being released towards the latter end of this year. Whether you’ve got a regular PS4 or a PS4 Pro, these games will work on both.
No matter if you are into sports, action, shooters or strategy games, there are plenty of ground-breaking releases which are yet to come and are highly anticipated by serious gamers. If you are an avid gamer, be sure to check out HDD Mag Gaming after reading this article – they have a ton of interesting articles and pieces of information that are perfect for gamers of all skill levels.
#1: Detroit: Become Human
Detroit: Being Human is set for release on May 25th and is an exclusive game to the PS4. In this game, you take control of an ‘android’ co-inhabitant living on Earth with its human masters, as you battle with their disobedience and deal with the issues which arise as a result of the android vs human balance of power.
The game’s graphics are absolutely stunning, and they are perfectly complemented by the realistic visuals and point-and-click style of adventure gameplay. It features a decision-based storyline, such as that seen in L.A. Noire and Heavy Rain, where your decisions directly impact the overall gameplay and storyline.
Vampyr is an eagerly anticipated action and RPG game being released on June 5th, placing you right into the shoes of Jonathan Reid, a doctor who has been turned into a vampire. You take control of the character right after World War I as he tries to balance his urges for blood with discovering the secrets behind a disease which has taken control of London.
Vampyr was originally scheduled for release at the end of 2017, but it was pushed back to June. Safe to say that because of this, the hype and anticipation around the game have only grown as a result of this and it is definitely worth buying.
#3: The Inpatient
The Inpatient is both a PS4 and PlayStation VR title. With its deep psychological storyline, this horror-based game is designed to toy with your subconscious and use binaural audio to trigger fear and make you feel as if you were in the game yourself.
If you have played Until Dawn, The Inpatient is a game which should be at the top of your list since The Inpatient serves as its prequel. Set 60 years before the events of Until Dawn, you take control of a patient who is trying to reclaim and retrace their missing memories, with voice recognition and player choices impacting the storyline throughout.
Although the console gaming scene has been a little slow recently, the back-end of 2018 looks to be very promising and there are a whole host of major releases coming to PS4, PS4 Pro, and PSVR later this year. There is something for everyone with some of these releases and it is a solid way to approach 2019.
